    Los «Estudiantes de la Portería» del Monasterio de San Jerónimo de Granada se sustentaban con la sobras de las mesas de los monjes, cuando éstos terminaban de comer. Sus normas de funcionamiento, recogidas en las Actas Capitulares, se mantuvieron vigentes en algunos colegios, durante los años 40 y 60 del siglo XX.

    The «Estudiantes de la Portería» («Students of the Gatehouse») of the Monastery of San Jeronimo in Granada were maintained by the remaining leftovers on the monks’ tables. Their operatives rules, which are enclosed within the Chapter Records, were still in force in some schools from the 40s to the 60s of the 20th century.
