A group of simple ledgers from Old Babylonian Nippur mention the entity eru m-mi-a(k), "house of the master." A detailed investigation suggests that this most likely reflects a scribal school, one that was apparently less prestigious than the well-known e2 -dub-ba-a, possibly reflecting a scribal school in a private house, as has been suggested previously by Waetzoldt and Cavigneaux
