    A rapid presentation of a Revelation cycle at Poitiers. The scenes are taken from between Rev. I, 1-2 or Ap. V, 2 and Rev. XII. In spite of the deterioration of these paintings, it is possible to identify : John and the angel, John and the horsemen, the distribution of stoles to the souls beneath the altar, the angel with censer, the dream of an angel, the Woman and the dragon, the angel hinging the wings of the great eagle, Michael fighting against the dragon. The iconographie programme should be considered from the point of view of its position in the church. The paintings are closely related to those in the porch at Saint-Savin and throw new light on a workshop active in the Poitou during the last third of the XIth century.

    Présentation rapide d'un cycle apocalyptique à Poitiers. Les scènes sont comprises entre Ap. I, 1-2 ou Ap. V, 2 et Ap. XII. Malgré l'altération des peintures, on peut identifier : Jean et l'ange, Jean et les cavaliers, la distribution des étoles aux âmes sous l'autel, l'ange à l'encensoir, la vision d'un ange, la Femme et le dragon, l'ange qui apporte les ailes du grand aigle, la lutte de Michel contre le dragon. Le programme iconographique doit s'étudier en fonction de sa place dans l'édifice. Ces peintures ont des liens très nets avec les scènes du porche de Saint-Savin et ouvrent des perspectives nouvelles sur l'atelier qui a œuvré en Poitou dans le dernier tiers du XIe s.
