Resumen de Resolución de problemas y contextos matemáticos

  En la actividad de resolución de problemas, eje fundamental en la enseñanza y aprendizaje de la matemática, en general, es poco vivenciado por alumnos y profesores, que la mayoría de los problemas, se dejan resolver en distintos contextos matemáticos, es decir, que en sus resoluciones se pueden usar, juntos o separados, resultados y procedimientos geométricos, o algebraicos, o numéricos. En este trabajo se entrega una reflexión sobre este importante aspecto y se presenta un problema resuelto en diferentes contextos matemáticos.

  One of the core topics in learning mathematics involves problem solving. Students as well as teachers tend to have a very narrow approach believing that there is just one way to solve a particular problem. In general, they lack a broader point of view. In problem solving one can use either separately or simultaneously techniques and results from Algebra, Geometry or Arithmetic. In this work we present some thoughts about this issue. We show an example that can be solved using different mathematical techniques.
