    Para comprender la vegetación actual de un territorio es imprescindible estudiar la historia de su transformación. La enorme presión que la actividad humana ha ejercido sobre el medio natural ha transformado el paisaje vegetal hasta tal punto que es muy difícil tratar de reconstruirlo. Para eso, cualquier herramienta que nos ayude a conocer cuál era la distribución de especies y formaciones vegetales en tiempos pasados es de enorme interés para botánicos, gestores del medio, y para cualquier estudioso que indague en este tema. En este trabajo se analiza la transformación del paisaje vegetal en el municipio de Valleseco, uno de los que mantienen un mejor estado de conservación y ejemplo de lo que ha pasado en las medianías del norte de Gran Canaria

    To understand the present vegetation of a territory is essential to study the history of their transformation. The enormous pressure that human activity has had on the natural environment has transformed the vegetation to such an extent that it is very difficult to try to rebuild it. For that, any tool that helps us to know what the distribution of species and vegetation in the past is of great interest to botanists, environmental managers, and for any student to investigate in this topic.

    In this paper the transformation of landscape plant in the municipality of Valleseco, one of those who maintain a better state of preservation and example of what happened in the midlands of northern Gran Canaria is analyzed
