Este trabajo reconstruye la biografía del abad Vicente Román y Linares (1767-1835), quien murió siendo obispo de Dan-Sara y auxiliar de Sevilla. Antes había protagonizado una trayectoria exitosa como docente en varios monasterios castellanos de la orden premostratense, predicador real en Madrid desde 1804, capellán del Consejo de Castilla en un Cádiz sitiado durante la Guerra de la Independencia, y obispo auxiliar de Tenerife entre 1815 y 1823.
This paper analyzes the biography of abbot Vicente Román y Linares (1767-1835), who died as bishop of Dan-Sara and assistant of Seville. Before he starred in a successful career as a teacher in the monasteries of the premonstraterian order where he was assigned, as real preacher in Madrid since 1804, as chaplain of the Consejo de Castilla in Cádiz during the War of Independence, and as auxiliary bishop of Tenerife between 1825 and 1823
