Significado de los verbos aplicados a la burla de komodoymenoi en los escolios de Aristófanes: el caso de Cleónimo

    Desde un punto de vista exegético, la identificación de κωμῳδoύμενoι supone un problema, ya que no todos los individuos mencionados en las comedias son conocidos. De esta forma, en el s.II a. C. se escriben catálogos de κωμῳδoύμενoι que, luego, dejan una huella importante en la escoliografía aristofánica. Pues bien, cuando los escoliastas mencionan a estos κωμῳδoύμενoι suelen referir las burlas de las que son objeto y, para ello, emplean seis verbos: κωμῳδείν, διαβάλλειν, σκὡπτειν, λοιδορεῑν, χλενάζειν. Por supuesto, estos verbos tienen su propio significado, sin embargo, cuando leemos los escolios, descubrimos que todos ellos significan en realidad "burlar(se)". En este breve estudio se describe esta peculiaridad bajo el prisma concreto de las burlas referidas a Cleónimo.

    The identification of κωμῳδoύμενoι was a exegetical challenge, because all the persons represented in comedy were not famous individuals. Thus, in the II BC, were drawn catalogs of κωμῳδoύμενoι, which left an important mark in the Aristophanes' scholia. So, when the scholiasts make reference to the κωμῳδoύμενoι, normally they describe the mockery against them using six verbs: κωμῳδείν, διαβάλλειν, σκὡπτειν, λοιδορεῑν, χλενάζειν. These verbs have their own meaning, but in the scholia these meanings are blurred, so that all these verbs have really a only meaning: "to mock". In this paper, I shall describe the phenomenon looking at the matter from the perspective of the mockery against Cleonimus.
