    Dentro de los fundamentos de la educación abierta y a distancia podemos afirmar la capacidad de pensar y decidir de forma autónoma. Feliz coincidencia con lo que plantea Kant, cuando se pregunta ¿que es la ilustración? Una acción será facilitar los medios y la motivación, para que el hombre individual y social se lance a la aventura de conquistar el conocimiento; asumir las ciencias como un asunto propio y de doble vía con el mundo de la vida. Implicará, reconocer al hombre como una criatura digna y capaz de conquistar su propio desarrollo y la construcción armónica de la humanidad.

     Within the foundations of open and distance education we can affirm the ability to think and decide autonomously. Happy coincidence with which raises Kant, when asked what is enlightenment? An action will be: to facilitate the means and the motivation, in order that the individual and social man throws to the adventure of conquering the knowledge; to assume the sciences as an proper matter and of double route with the world of the life. It will imply, admitting the man as a creature worthy and capable of conquering her suitable development and the harmonic construction of the humanity.
