Canciones para una educación en valores interculturales

    La actividad musical comparte muchas características con la Educación Intercultural, sobre todo, en cuanto a la organización del alumnado participante (grupalmente), al tipo de relación de trabajo entre ellos (cooperativo y colaborativo), al sentimiento colectivo promovido con sus actividades que contribuye a unirles más… Si bien, aunque dentro de la actividad musical podemos distinguir diferentes momentos de trabajo (canto, movimiento, improvisación, interpretación, audición) que pueden ajustarse en distinta medida a la Interculturalidad promovida en la legislación vigente, el trabajo auditivo de determinadas canciones puede promover una educación en valores interculturales más “asequible” para el alumnado. Estaríamos ante canciones con mensaje o una evolución de lo que en su tiempo fueron las canciones protesta; canciones que permitirán trabajar no solo el respeto de la alteridad cultural mediante la explicación de sus préstamos musicales, sino también un sentido más real de su valor intercultural al analizarse sus letras.

    Musical activity shares many characteristics with Intercultural Education, especially in what concerns organizing the participation of students (in groups), the type of working relationship between them (cooperative and collaborative), the collective sentiment promoted by their activities, contributing to unite them... Therefore, although in musical activity we are able to distinguish different stages of the performed work (singing, movement, improvisation, interpretation, and hearing) that can be adjusted in various ways to the interculturalism promoted by current legislation, the auditory educational work of certain songs is more able to promote intercultural values in the students. We would be facing songs with a message or an evolution of what were the protest songs in its time; songs that will work not only respecting to cultural otherness by explaining its musical loans, but also a real sense of their intercultural value when analysing his lyrics.
