    A través del texto se demuestra la importancia de las «vistas urbanas de conjunto» y de los «escenarios urbanos interiores» como motivación para la visita turística de las ciudades históricas y la necesidad de desarrollar estrategias para su puesta en valor como producto turístico. De ese modo, los «paisajes culturales urbanos» generarían riqueza y empleo, y, por lo tanto, serían una alternativa a políticas que anteponen el uso del suelo para usos intensivos a consideraciones de tipo cultural e identitario.

    Sólo así se pondría freno a las amenazas de desaparición que sufren actualmente muchos paisajes culturales urbanos, a pesar de encontrarnos lejos del rápido crecimiento demográfico y fuerte urbanización de la década de 1960 y de la segunda mitad de los 1990 hasta 2007.

    The paper shows the relevance of the “urban views” and of the “inner urban scenes” as motivation for the tourist visit of the historical cities and the necessity to develop strategies for its putting in value like tourist product. The “urban cultural landscapes” would generate wealth and employment, and, therefore, they would be an alternative to policies that put the intensives uses of the ground in front to considerations of identity and cultural type. That will be the only way to stop the threats that overfly the urban cultural landscapes, in spite of we are far from the periods of fast population increase and strong urbanization like was the 1960 years and the second half of the 1990 until 2007.
