    Durante la década de 1950 finalizan en Madrid algunos de los proyectos más significativos del Régimen franquista destinados a crear una nueva imagen de la capital. Su ejecución se lleva a cabo en un periodo de transición, cuando irrumpen junto a ideó- logos y profesionales falangistas, figuras representativas del capital inmobiliario y especulativo que triunfarán en los años del desarrollismo posterior. En este contexto, la investigación se centra en la intervención realizada entonces en algunos espacios pú- blicos especialmente emblemáticos de la ciudad. Se trata de desvelar la carga simbó- lica todavía presente en ellos y contribuir a la lectura coherente de sus paisajes.

    Después de un planteamiento inicial, en la primera parte se presenta el marco teórico utilizado. La segunda parte se destina a revisar la aportación franquista a la construcción de seis paisajes emblemáticos de la capital. Por último, se destacan unas valoraciones finales.

    In Madrid, during the 1950s, some of the most significant projects of the Franco’s dictatorial regime intended to create a new image of the capital finish. His execution was carried out in a period of transition, when representative figures of real estate and speculative capital, that will succeed in the further years of desarrollismo, after Spanish Stabilisation Plan, burst into the city beside ideologues and professional falangists.

    In this context, the research focuses on the intervention made during these years in particularly emblematic public spaces. The goal ibs display the symbolic load, still present in them, and contribute to the coherent reading of its landscape. After an initial approach, the theoretical framework used is presented in the first part. The second segment is intended to review the contribution of the Francoism to the construction of six emblematic landscapes of the capital. At last, we highlight some final evaluations.
