En este trabajo inspeccionamos los primeros 16 parágrafos del Tratado de la Reforma del Entendimiento de B. Spinoza con el propósito de explorar el camino por el que debe transitar todo entendimiento cuando aspira el sumo bien y a la verdad desde la filosofía. Se tratará, en definitiva, de mostrar un proyecto de vida poco atractivo y, por lo tanto, obligado a justificar su viabilidad frente a un mundo signado por el éxito, el poder y los placeres. En consecuencia, apreciar una vida serena donde la permanencia de los valores supere el vaivén de las necesidades terrenales y los placeres fortuitos.

This work examines the first 16 paragraphs of the Treatise on the Reform of Understanding by B. Spinoza with the intention of exploring the road along which all understanding should pass if it aspires to the greatest good and the truth from philosophy. It will definitely try to show a life project that is not very attractive and, therefore, obliged to justify its viability to a world marked by success, power and pleasures, and consequently, the appreciation of a serene life where the permanence of values overcomes the comings and goings of earthly needs and fortuitous pleasures.
