This article examines the transition from Neoclassicism to Romanticism in the work of the commentators oi Don Quixote through a study of a romantic edition published at the end of the reign of Fernando VII. It contains a complete study of the notes of Pellicer to Don Quixote, as well as a discussion of Fernández de Navarrete and Joaquín Bastús.
