    There is no ability to name as « Empire Plantagenêt » or « Etat anglo-angevin » that juxtaposition of feudal formations of which the powerful Anglo-Norman monarchy was the only linkage. We may talk about « espace Plantagenêt » that is an unstable conglomerat of countries without organic connections nor any own cultural identity.

    On ne saurait parler d' « Empire Plantagenêt », ni même d' « État anglo-angevin » devant cette juxtaposition de groupements féodaux dont le seul point fort était la solide monarchie anglo-normande. On ne peut évoquer que l' « espace Plantagenêt », conglomérat fragile de terres sans liens organiques ni identité culturelle propre.
