  • Taking into account the modernisation of existing production lines and commissioning of new ones, the plant's production capacity was significantly increased in 2013, as well as increasing the product range. The existing capacity for the production of periclase-carbon products amounts to 20,000 tpa. For comparison, in 2012 this figure was 8,000 tpa. Briquetted magnesia fluxes are at 50,000 tpa. In 2013, a new production line of magnesia fluxes with the capacity of 50,000 tpa was organised at the plant from zero point. Unshaped refractories production is 2,800 tpa, while it was 1,500 tpa in 2012.

    Outotec has appointed Kimmo Kontola to lead its American business from 1 March 2014. Kontola is currently executive vice president, president of the Asia-Pacific region at Outotec and member of Outotec's executive board. He will replace Jari Rosendal, who has been appointed president and CEO of Kemira Oyj.

    Justine Campbell has resigned from her position of CFO and company secretary at the ASX-listed engineering and construction company, Decmil. Craig Amos, currently Decmil's group manager for corporate development at Decmil, will fill the role of interim CFO. Alison Thompson, group manager of finance at Decmil, has been appointed company secretary.
