La sociología representativa contra El Capital. Los retos de la dialéctica y la crítica de la epistemología

    En este documento se enfrenta críticamente la relación existente entre el corpus de pensamiento inaugurado por Karl Marx, cuyo precedente fundamental está en Hegel, y una importante tendencia de la ciencia sociológica. Si la publicación de El capital es anterior a la entrada en escena de la sociología, los retos que en dicha obra se desplegaron siguen aún hoy siendo objeto de polémica en el seno de las ciencias sociales. El método que recorre la obra de Marx plantea, a nuestro juicio, elementos no integrables mientras el debate se circunscriba a la epistemología. Se presentan algunos hitos donde se aprecia no solo la incompatibilidad de dicha corriente sociológica con el pensamiento marxista, sino también la tendencia de buena parte de la epistemología sociológica a divorciar la teoría de la realidad social primando, en los análisis, la primera frente a la segunda.

    This paper tries to deal critically with the relationship between the theoretical corpus started by Karl Marx but whose essential precedent can be found in Hegel’s work and the sociological science. Although The Capital was published before the creation of that science, the challenges that this work sets out are still today an object of discussion in the core of the social sciences. The method used throughout the Capital exposes, in our opinion, insuperable elements while the debate was limited to the epistemology. Therefore, we present some important categories where it can be appreciated not only the incompatibility between the sociology and the Marxist thought but also the tendency of most of the sociological epistemology to divorce the theory and the social reality prioritizing the first over the second in the analysis.
