  • Resumen
    • "We have looked at using other material like ilmenite and leucoxene," [Andy Eyre] said. "Ilmenite does not provide the high quality weld properties required from a Rutile Electrode or Flux, it is used across welding but not high in the quality weld sales platforms," he added.

"We have looked at projects but it's done to death now. We have 2-4% of the market. The question isn't just getting into a mine its taking on the supplies of that mine. It's a huge overhead and a big commitment," he said.

"It's a big part of our budget now, but before it wasn't," he explained. "The pricing depends on demand so if a producer starts taking rutile then it will go up. Two years ago no one viewed TiO 2 as a key commodity" he added.
