• n this clinical update, we describe the development and the expected clinical impact of the UMC Utrecht MRI linac (MRL) system. This combination of a radiotherapy accelerator with a diagnostic quality 1.5 T MRI scanner provides real-time imaging at the moment of treatment, thus providing unprecedented targeting accuracy.
