Resumen de Las pruebas suarecianas de la existencia de Dios como demostración del carácter objetivo de las Disputaciones Metafísicas

  El presente artículo analiza las tres pruebas de la existencia de Dios que presentó el pensador Francisco Suárez en la XXIX de sus célebres Disputaciones Metafísicas. Además del interés especulativo que despiertan las pruebas, que nos puede servir para medir el grado de penetración del autor, constituye un ejemplo en si mismo para conocer la especificidad de la interpretación suareciana de la Metafísica. Especialmente en la tercera de las demostraciones, Suárez mostrará a priori, la existencia de un único ente necesario, deduciendo desde el atributo de la unidad. La distinción de razón de los atributos, dan prueba del carácter distinto de la metafísica suareciana. Por su parte, las dos pruebas anteriores de naturaleza empírica, tienen como objeto limpiar los restos de paganismo filosófico que se hallaban presentes en algunas de las pruebas físicas empleadas por la primera escolástica. Son tiempos de combate apologético en el seno de la Iglesia, y Suárez, como miembro de la Compañía de Jesús, ejemplifica con estas pruebas que todos los instrumentos tanto materiales como intelectuales han de emplearse en la defensa de la fe católica.

  This article analyzes the three texts of the existence of God who the thinker Francisco Suárez presented in his famous Metaphysical Disputations (XXIX). In addition to the speculative interest and the degree of penetration of the author in the proofs, these are an example in itself to determine the specificity of Suarez’s interpretation of Metaphysics. Specifically, Suárez a priori shows the existence of a single and necessary entity in the third of the demonstrations, deducing it from the attribute of the unit. The distinction of reason attributes, bears witness to the different character of Suárez’s metaphysics. Meanwhile, the two previous tests of empirical nature, are intended to clean up the remains of philosophical paganism who were present in some of the physical evidence used by the first Scholastics. These were times of an apologetics battle within the Church, and Suárez, a member of the Jesus Society, reflects in all these texts the relevance of both material and intellectual instruments to be employed in the defense of the Catholic faith.
