Resumen de Utopía y discurso político

El objetivo del artículo es la delimitación de un concepto de utopía aplicable al análisis del discurso político. Para ello se adopta el criterio establecido por Arturo Roig, cuando distingue entre utopías narrativas y función utópica del lenguaje, y se analizan las tres modalidades de la función utópica del discurso que han sido diferenciadas por ese autor –crítico-reguladora, liberadora del determinismo legal y anticipadora del futuro–. Finalmente, se postula una cuarta modalidad de la función utópica, relativa a la constitución de formas de subjetividad en el nivel discursivo. Tal conformación de identidades no se jugaría en el nivel de lo dicho –de los contenidos del enunciado y de su eficacia para representar, por medio de signos, una realidad extradiscursiva–, sino en el nivel del decir, esto es, de la enunciación.

The objective of this article is to delimit a concept of utopia applicable to political discourse analysis. To accomplish this, the criterion established by Arturo Roig, which distinguishes between narrative utopias and the utopian function of language, is adapted. Three modes of the utopian function of discourse, as differentiated by this author, are analyzed: the critical-regulatory function, the function that frees from legal determinism and that which anticipates the future. Finally, a fourth modality of the utopian function is postulated relative to the constitution of forms of subjectivity at the discursive level. Such a constitution of identities would not be played on the level of what is said – the contents of speech and their efficacy at representing, through signs, an extra-discursive reality, but rather at the level of saying, that is, enunciation
