    El presente artículo se propone establecer un análisis comparativo entre Andrés Bello y Domingo Faustino Sarmiento en relación con el modo en que ambos autores utilizaron los conceptos de nación, patria e identidad en textos literarios. En este sentido, comprender la importancia de estas nociones en una escritura, sincrónica a la fundación de las nuevas repúblicas, nos permite entender la comunión entre la esfera política y literaria de la época, además, del papel que dichos intelectuales jugaron en la construcción de una identidad en las naciones latinoamericanas emancipadas

    This article aims to establish a comparative analysis of Andrés Bello and Domingo Faustino Sarmiento in relation to how both authors used the concepts of nation, homeland and identity in literary texts. In this sense, understanding the importance of these notions in writings synchronous with the founding of new republics, allows us to understand the communion between politics and literature of the time, as well as the role that these intellectuals played in building an identity in the emancipated Latin American nations.
