    El presente artículo describe la situación de la Liturgia de las Horas. El tiempo transcurre entre el Vaticano II y el hoy. En este tiempo existen luces y sombras. La reforma de la oración de la Iglesia fue muy bien acogida con sus aportaciones teológicas y el paso del latín a la lengua vernácula. La celebración respira un aire nuevo. A pesar de las muchas luces, existen también sombras. Los fenómenos que afectan a la oración en general afectan también a la oración de la Liturgia de las Horas. Su rezo se convierte muchas veces en lectura de los textos litúrgicos. El tiempo del hombre no corresponde con el tiempo dedicado a la alabanza de Dios. También está crisis el puente entre la oración y la vida cotidiana.

    This article describes the situation of the Liturgy of the Hours. Time has elapsed since the Vatican II. In that time there has been lights and shadows. The reform of the prayer of the Church was very well received with its theological contributions and the transition from Latin to the vernacular. The celebration breathes a fresh air. Despite its many lights, there are also shadows. The phenomena that generally affect the prayer also affect the prayer of the Liturgy of the Hours. Its recitation becomes many times just a reading of the liturgical texts. The time of man does not correspond to the time dedicated to the praise of God. There is also a crisis in the bridge between prayer and the daily life.
