Resumen de El imaginario social del padre en Colombia: entre la fascinación y el desprecio

  El siguiente artículo es el resultado de una primera parte del proyecto de investigación doctoral sobre el tema del maltrato infantil y la función paterna. De manera particular, este proyecto se interroga por los casos de maltrato infantil en familias en las que esta problemática se repite de generación en generación. Para tal fin, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica,así como una serie de entrevistas semiestructuradas a tres familias y a seis profesionales del ICBF en el municipio de Salamina (Caldas). A partir de este análisis, se identificaron algunos de los elementos que componen el imaginario social del padre desde los tiempos de la formación de la sociedad colombiana y que aún se evidencian en la actualidad. Tales elementos remiten a la imagen de un padre creador, fuente de autoridad, violento y ausente. Por consiguiente, se comparten algunas reflexiones e interrogantes que conciernen a los rasgos del imaginario del padre atribuidos desde la época de la colonia y que se relacionan con aquellos que se identificaron en los testimonios de las personas entrevistadas.

  This article is the result of a first part of our doctoral research project on child abuse and transmission of the paternal function. We are particularly interested in cases of abuse of children in families where these situations are repeated from generation to generation. We carried out a literature review and a series of semi-structured interviews with three families hosted by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF for its Spanish initials) of Salamina city and six professionals of the same institute. From this analysis, we found out that some elements of the social representation of the father were still prevalent today. This elements form the image of a creator, source of authority, perceived as violent and absent. We share our thoughts and questions about the relationship between the functions and characteristics attributed to the father from the colonization era, and the representation of the father emerging from our interviews.
