Resumen de Fotografiar el arte en el siglo XIX: entre fruición lúdica y visión científica

En la actualidad los documentos fotográficos antiguos se consideran una herramienta básica para el estudio de ciertas piezas artísticas. Las fotografías heredadas del siglo XIX nos remiten a realidades artísticas que han sufrido, en medida diferente, el paso del tiempo, el gusto de la época y las tendencias culturales, intervenciones invasivas, manipulaciones, etc. Pero ¿Qué quiere decir fotografiar arte en el siglo XIX? ¿A qué problemas de tipo técnico se enfrentaban los profesionales y amateurs que retrataban bienes artísticos? ¿En qué círculos se movían estas reproducciones? El presente artículo pretende analizar las más tempranas apariciones de fotografías de bienes artísticos, su aplicación en la historia del arte y el peso de estas imágenes en el cambio de paradigma sobre la manera de ver y observar el patrimonio.

At present the old photographic documents are considered a basic tool for the study of certain artistic pieces. Inherited nineteenth-century photographs remind us of artistic realities that have suffered to varying degrees, over time, the taste of the time and cultural trends, invasive interventions, manipulations, etc. But what does it mean to photograph art in the nineteenth century? What technical problems professionals and amateurs portraying artistic goods faced? What circles these reproductions were moving? This article analyzes the earliest appearances of photographs of artistic goods, its application in art history and the weight of these images in the paradigm shift on how to see and observe.
