    El presente ensayo analiza los motores que impulsaron al investigador, escritor y artista cubano, Samuel Feijjóo (1914-1992) a crear Signos, primero como revista y posteriormente como emblemático grupo de artistas populares. La autora polemiza entorno a la fructífera relación de amistad que existió entre Jean Dubuffet y Feijóo; la retroalimentación cultural de ambos, sus puntos coincidentes, así como la posible influencia de Dubuffet en el pensamiento estético de Feijóo.

    This essay analyzes the reasons that prompted the researcher, writer and Cuban artist, Samuel Feijjóo (1914-1992) to create Signos, first as a magazine and later as a emblematic group of popular artists. The author polemics around the fruitful friendship that existed between Jean Dubuffet and Feijóo;

    cultural feedback from both, their matching points, and the possible influence of Dubuffet in the aesthetic thought of Feijóo.
