El balance social es un instrumento técnico empresarial que detalla objetivos, logros y dificultades en materia social durante un período determinado. Es un medio de información valioso para los trabajadores, las asociaciones sindicales, los proveedores y usuarios, los diferentes organismos estatales. Para garantizar su veracidad, debería ser supervisado previamente por los representantes de los trabajadores. Exigido por el módulo de la buena fe y la hominización de la relación de empleo, puede ser reglamentado mediante los convenios colectivos.

The social balance is a managerial technical instrument that details objectives, achievements and difficulties in social matter during a certain period. It is a valuable means of information for the workers, the union associations, the suppliers and users, the different state organisms. To guarantee their truthfulness, it should be supervised previously by the representatives of the workers. Demanded by the module of the good faith and the hominización of the employment relationship, it can be regulated by means of the collective agreements.
