Resumen de Mujeres frente a los espejos de la maternidad: las que eligen no ser madres

El propósito de este trabajo es repensar el binomio mujer = madre desde una óptica analítica no naturalizada. Para ello se le da la voz a las mujeres que han “elegido” voluntariamente no ser madres, a fin de conocer los procesos que las llevaron a tomar esta elección, así como las experiencias y presiones sociales a las que han estado sujetas por no cumplir con el destino materno asignado teleológicamente a sus vidas. Destaca la necesidad de contextualizar el momento histórico bajo el cual fue posible que las mujeres pudieran tener acceso a este derecho reproductivo, que ha sido un eje de lucha del movimiento feminista, al exigir la autonomía de controlar sus cuerpos para decidir libremente la maternidad. Plantea, asimismo, que la maternidad es un tema complejo, que no puede ser reducido solamente a lo cultural o, en su defecto, a lo biológico, sino que se entreteje con el nivel del inconsciente y por tanto del deseo.

The purpose of this article is to rethink the woman-mother binomial from a non-naturalized analytical viewpoint. To do so voice is given to the women who have willingly "chosen" not to be mothers, with the aim of knowing the processes which led them to this decision, as well as the experiences and social pressures to which they were subjected for not fulfilling the teleologically assigned maternal destiny of their lives. What is outstanding is the need to contextualize the historical moment in which it was possible for women to accede to this reproductive right, which has been the axis of the struggle of the feminist movement, by demanding autonomy to control their bodies to decide maternity freely. Likewise, the article states that maternity is a complex subject that cannot be reduced merely to cultural or, otherwise, biological aspects, but rather it is interwoven with the level of subconscience and, hence, desire.
