“Dios, Patria y Farmacia”. El Dr. Camacho y los laboratorios farmacéuticos pacenses en la primera mitad del siglo XX

    La industria farmacéutica pacense tuvo un templado desarrollo. Destacamos en Badajoz el Laboratorio Español del Dr. Camacho, que pervivió cien años gracias a un par de productos clásicos ideados por su fundador, Ricardo Camacho Algaba. Su hijo, Ricardo Camacho de Castro añadió algunos antitusígenos, antiálgicos y antisépticos. Durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, destacamos a Vicnete Domingo Sanchís. En el franquismo autárquico, la mayor parte de la producción farmacéutica pacense está relacionada con los productos biológicos.

    The Badajoz´s pharmaceutical industry had a meager development. In Badajoz, during the first half of the nineteenth century, we highlight the “Spanish laboratory of Dr. Camacho” that survived one hundred of years through its founder, Ricardo Camacho Algaba. His son, Ricardo Camacho Castro added analgesics and antiseptics. During the first half of the twentieth, we stand out Domingo Vicente Sanchís. During the autarkic period of Francoism, most of the pharmecutical production from Badajoz was related to biological products.
