Creencias docentes en torno a la Educación Religiosa Escolar Católica y su relación con la planificación de la enseñanza

    El objetivo del estudio fue analizar las creencias sobre la finalidad, enseñanza y aprendizaje que los profesores de religión católica manifiestan en torno a su disciplina escolar, cómo se relacionan con la planificación de la enseñanza y cómo influyen algunas experiencias de socialización en la conformación de sus creencias. Los resultados evidencian que en la conformación de las creencias tienen un rol fundamental las experiencias de participación eclesial y el desempeño laboral. Asimismo, se evidenció que los docentes poseen creencias constructivistas y progresistas sobre la enseñanza y el aprendizaje respectivamente, las cuales se ven reflejadas en la planificación. Finalmente, en torno a la finalidad de la Educación Religiosa Escolar Católica, los resultados evidencian que sus creencias se condicen con el planteamiento que de la asignatura se hace desde el Ministerio de Educación y se alejan de la finalidad crítica que incorpora la Conferencia Episcopal de Chile.

    The objective of this study was to analyze beliefs related to purpose, teaching and learning that teachers of Catholic religion show in their school discipline, how these are related to teaching planning and, how these affect some socializing experiences when forming their beliefs. The results demonstrate that experiences of ecclesiastic participation and work performance have a very important role in the forming of beliefs. Additionally, it is also shown that teachers have constructivist and progressive beliefs about education and learning respectively, both of which are reflected in planning. Finally, in relation to the purpose of the Catholic Religious School Education, results show that their beliefs correspond with the approach of the subject that is presented by the Ministry of Education and take a step away from the critical purpose that is included by the Episcopal Conference of Chile.
