    El nombre de Hipatia significa la másgrande. Es la primera mujer de cuya participaciónen actividades científicas yfilosóficas se tiene noticia, y a su vezla última científica pagana del mundoantiguo. Su gran valor ético, conductadigna, elocuencia y talento, la llevarona destacarse en una sociedad dominadapor hombres, siendo respetada no sólocomo una eminente profesora carismática,sino también como asesora en determinadoscírculos políticos. Su muerte violentarepresenta un punto de inflexión entrela cultura del razonamiento griego y eloscurantismo medieval. Mataron a unamujer que pensaba por sí misma, quecreía en la libertad y la capacidad delser humano para comprender el mundo.Hipatia es saber, es libertad.

    The Hypatia’s name means the biggest.

    She’s first woman within scientific and philosophic activities that we’ve ever known as in the ancient time. Her big ethic value was dignity, irreproachable behavior, eloquence and talent which conducted to be outstanding position in a society strongly dominant by men. Admired and reverent by the intellectuals of that time and positioned at the struggle political center among and pagan people as bewitching Christian woman. Her violent death means an inflection point between the greek culture and the black shadow middle age. They killed a woman herself thinking, to someone independent and without dogmas and impositions that believe in freedom and world understanding men. Hypatia is knowledge’s thirst, she’s freedom.
