    De todos es conocida la importancia de la colección de las pinturas de El Bosco que se conservan en el Museo del Prado, atesoradas en su mayoría por el rey Felipe II. El estudio técnico de los tres trípticos, La Adoración de los Magos, El Carro de Heno y El Jardín de las Delicias, junto con La Mesa de los Pecados Mortales y otras de menor tamaño, nos ha permitido conocer el proceso creativo del artista, desde los soportes hasta el dibujo subyacente a la sucesión de capas de color empleadas por el artista. Con ello se pueden distinguir las obras originales de las que fueron hechas por su taller y seguidores.

    The significance of the collection of paintings by Bosch held in the Museo del Prado, most of themacquired by King Philip II, is widely known. Technical study of the three triptychs, The Adoration of the Magi, The Haywain and The Garden of Earthly Delights, as well as that of The Table of the Seven Deadly Sins and other smaller works, gives us some insight into Bosch’s creative process, from the supports used and the under-drawings to the successive layers of colour applied by the artist. With this information it is possible to distinguish his original works from those completed by his studio and protégées.
