  • "Juniors are conserving cash," Steven Gold, CFO of speciality driller Energold, said at the conference, "and most won't make it". "At the moment, there is a dearth of capital [for junior miners],"said Tony Harwood, CEO of junior miner Montero Mining.

    "You can't just raise capital anymore," added Andrew Monk, CEO of VSA Capital, "those days are gone forever".

    "If you want people to invest in you," Gabriel de Lastours agreed, "you must be adding value (...) doing something different".
