La obra de Ryszard Kapuściński ha adquirido una perspectiva internacional que queda bien patente en el estudio y seguimiento que de la misma se viene haciendo en España durante los últimos años. El periodista polaco llega al gran público español a partir del año 2003 cuando se le concede el Premio Príncipe de Asturias. A partir de ese momento su obra se empieza a estudiar en las distintas facultades de Periodismo de las universidades españolas, incluso una de ellas le llega a investir como doctor honoris causa. Su muerte en el año 2007 aumenta aún más el interés por su obra en España, como también lo ha hecho recientemente la polémica en torno a la biografía publicada por su discípulo y también periodista polaco Artur Domosławski. El presente artículo profundiza en cómo la figura del periodista Ryszard Kapuściński ha ido creciendo en España, ahondando en el estudio del estilo del periodismo literario, sello de identidad del autor polaco, que va más allá del reportaje y de la crónica y que ha creado escuela entre destacados periodistas españoles, como antes sucedió en Polonia.

Ryszard Kapuściński’s work has acquired an international perspective that is well illustrated in the follow-up study and the same is being done in Spain in recent years. The polish journalist comes to the spanish public since 2003, when he is given the prominent Prince of Asturias Award, from the time his work began to study at the school of journalism in spanish universities, including two of them will come to invest as doctor honoris causa. His death in 2007 further increases the interest in his work in Spain, as has recently been controversy around the biography published by his disciple and polish journalist Artur Domosławski. This paper elaborates on how the figure of the journalist Ryszard Kapuściński has been growing in Spain, deepening the study of journalism and literary style, the author’s hallmark polish, that goes beyond the reportage and chronic and that has many followers among leading spanish journalists, as happened before in Poland.
