Conversar para ubicar y orientar: pragmática y uso de Cláusulas Relativas en niños

    Esta investigación analiza las características de actos discursivos empleados por niños (5 y 7 años) en conversaciones con un adulto ante la tarea de ubicar y orientar a un interlocutor que desconoce el espacio físico al que el niño refiere. El análisis atiende a las condiciones pragmáticas de la tarea y al uso de Cláusulas relativas (Crs.). El análisis permitió reconocer que, en estas dinámicas interaccionales, la graficación y el uso del lenguaje espacial son co-dependientes, que existe interdependencia entre la actividad de graficación y los usos de Crs. y una relación estrecha entre la frecuencia de uso de Crs. y los procesos por los cuales los niños configuran y modelan las representaciones cognitivas de los espacios.

    This research analyzes the characteristics of discursive actions used by children (5 and 7 years-old) in conversations with an adult when they need to locate and guide to their conversational partner who does not know the physical space referred. The analysis focused on the pragmatic conditions of the task and the Relative Clauses (Rcs.) usage. The analysis allowed to recognize that, in these interactional dynamics, the plotting and use of spatial language are co-dependent phenomena, that there is interdependence between the activity of plotting and Rcs. usages and that there is a strong relationship between the frequency of Rcs. usages with the processes by which children configure and model the cognitive representations of the spaces described.
