    Business transfer, a risk for the health of small business owners This paper aims at understanding deeply the impact of business transfer on the health of small business owners. We adopt the framework of the psychosocial risks and analyze 45 cases of business transfer (from the owner’s perspective). First of all, results identify additional sources of stress both during and after the transfer process because of multiple and different roles to assume. They also specify specific consequences on health and bring to light three main categories of influencing factors (deteriorating or mitigating). We finally propose a model – based on the context, the process and the owner – to define standard areas of vigilance.

    Cet article a pour objectif de comprendre l’impact d’une cession externe sur la santé du dirigeant de PME. En mobilisant une approche par les risques psychosociaux, et à partir de l’analyse de 45 récits de vie de cédants, notre étude fait ressortir tout d’abord l’importance de sources de stress additionnels pendant et après l’opération, en raison d’un chevauchement des statuts endossés. Les résultats spécifient ensuite les conséquences symptomatiques, affectant la santé des cédants. Enfin, ils mettent à jour trois principales familles de facteurs d’influence atténuant ou aggravant, dont le croisement, sur la base du modèle des 3C (respectivement liées au contexte, à la cession, et au cédant), permet d’identifier des zones de vigilance standards.
