    Este texto propone una interpretación de la topología del imperialismo a partir del modelo semiótico de Yuri Lotman. Intentamos explorar algunas de las transformaciones espaciales producidas por la ocupación y organización de la estrategia geopolítica desde siglo XIX. Nuestra propuesta se basa en el modelo topológico fundamental de Lotman pero agrega otros elementos de análisis.

    This paper proposes an interpretation of imperialism’s topology based on the semiotic model of Yuri Lotman. We try to explore some of the spatial transformations caused by the occupation and organization of geopolitical strategies from the nineteenth century on. Our proposal is based on Lotman’s fundamental topological model but adds other elements of analysis.
