Resumen de Criterios de diseño y condiciones de entorno de un plan de EEEstudios de Grado

El éxito de la implantación del EEES no se conseguirá a partir de la actividad voluntariosa de los profesores en sus asignaturas. Los planes de estudios deben ser diseñados siguiendo criterios estrictamente académicos y ponerse en marcha usando criterios de viabilidad económica, y las instituciones deben adoptar medidas para diseñar un entorno académico adecuado que permita conseguir los objetivos propuestos con un esfuerzo razonable de los agentes implicados.
En este artículo se discuten diversos criterios a considerar en el diseño de un plan de estudios de Grado en la rama de Ingeniería y Arquitectura y la influencia del entorno académico en el éxito de los nuevos planes de estudio, y se muestra cómo un entorno adecuado puede favorecer el uso de metodologías de aprendizaje activo en las asignaturas. La probabilidad de fracasar en la adaptación al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior es muy grande si pretendemos implantar estas metodologías sin cambiar la estructura y organización actual de los estudios.

The success of establishing the EHEA (European Higher Education Area) will not be achieved through the willing work of teachers in their subjects. The curricula must be designed following strict academic criteria, and must be run using economic feasibility criteria. Moreover, the institutions must create the adequate academic environment to allow the achievement of the stated goals with a reasonable effort of all those implied.
This paper discusses several criteria to be considered when designing the Bachelor Degree in the areas of Engineering and Architecture and the influence of the academic environment in the sucess of the curricula. The paper shows how an adequate environment can support the use of active learning methods in the classroom. The probability of failing to attune to the EHEA is very high if we try to introduce these methods without changing the current structure and organization of the studies.
