    El presente trabajo pretende ofrecer una visión global y panorámica de la producción cronística dela Compañíade Jesús en Filipinas en su primera época (1581-1768). Analizamos las obras de Pedro Chirino, Francisco Colín y Pedro Murillo Velarde, los tres autores que conformaron la «historia oficial» jesuita en el archipiélago. De esta manera, pretendemos revelar la imagen que los propios jesuitas quisieron proyectar al mundo y ala Historiaa través de unas obras que tuvieron sus particularidades en función de la época en la que se escribieron, pero cuyo objetivo común fue ensalzar la labor dela Compañíaen el archipiélago filipino.

    In this paper we try to offer a global vision of the production of chronicles of the Society of Jesus in the Philippines in the period 1581-1768. We analyse the works of Pedro Chirino, Francisco Colín and Pedro Murillo Velarde, the three authors that wrote the Jesuit «oficial history» in the islands. That’s how we try to reveal the image that the Jesuits wanted to project to the world and to the History through a few works that had their own special features depending on when they were written, but that shared a clear goal: praise the work of the Society in the Philippine Islands.
