Tomando como referencia el testimonio de varios literatos en los prólogos a sus obras, se busca profundizar en la tarea de composición de las obras de adab y los distintos procesos que entraña, con el objetivo de desvelar el alcance de la labor llevada a cabo por los udabāʾ. Especial atención se dedicará a las obras tardías, con los Ḥadāʾiq al-azāhir de Abū Bakr ibn ʿĀṣim como abanderada para demostrar que la originalidad del género afecta a la forma y al fondo, y se mueve, como la labor de los literatos, entre la creación y la re-creación.

Taking as reference the testimony of several men of letters in the introductions to their works, we seek to deepen in the tasks involved composition of adab works and thedifferent processes, aiming at revealing the significance of the work carried out by the udabāʾ. We will focus on late works, and more specifically on Abū Bakr ibn ʿĀṣim’s Ḥadāʾiq al-azāhir as a good example, to prove that the originality of this literary genre affects both the form and the crux, and moves between the creation and the re-creation, as do the tasks of the writers themselves.
