    El presente trabajo es una invitación a discutir res publica desde una perspectiva unitaria, integradora del pensar, el actuar y el valorar. Parte de la presunción discutible de que la clave interpretativa del ejercicio del poder y las capacidades de gobierno y administración de nuestro tiempo es la gestión, clave que operaría también como vector normativo de la aprobación/reprobación del obrar de los agentes por parte de una ciudadanía diversa y fragmentada. En ese marco cabe preguntarse: ¿importan aún las ideas, conservan su poder y sugestión, u hoy sólo reflejan la disposición inconsecuente de los actores en la escena pública, que las imágenes y otros disparadores no verbales de la acción logran despertar en el ánimo, si no la conciencia reflexiva, de ciudadanos expectantes y espectadores?

    This paper is an invitation to discuss res pública from a Unitarian perspective, which integrates thinking, acting and valuing. Its origin is the debatable premise that managing (as including paperwork and red tape) is the interpretive key of all governmental and administrative power and capacities, which also operates as a normative vector for a diverse and fragmented citizenry to appraise the performance of public agents. In this context, it seems reasonable to ask: do ideas still matter; do they still keep their primitive power and suggestion? Or have they became just a reflection of the inconsequential disposition of agents in the public domain, where images and other nonverbal triggers to action better stimulate said disposition, if not the reflexive conscience of expectant citizens (or spectators)?
