Resumen de La identidad en la antigua Roma: joya representada, construcción visual de la identidad femenina en el área vesubiana

  La cultura material recuperada así como fuentes originale:. Conservadas remarca la importancia otorgada por la sociedad romana al sistema estamental. La identidad se configura así en una necesidad por parte de la población. El ser humano muestra una evidente necesidad de plasmar exterionnente su individualidad. Cada colectivo poseerá determinados códigos que permitirá el reconocimiento de cada uno de sus integrantes. El adorno personal se establece así como uno de los principales mecanismos de comunicación. En su elección, así como en la selección de los materiales coa que está realizada, su portador define su visión del mundo y el lugar que ocupa en la sociedad. Los frescos analizados junto con las fuentes estudiadas reflejan un uso comedido de la joya: su abuso es reprobable. Sólo el análisis de la 'riqueza representada'; es decir, de los frescos analizados, ha permitido evidenciar la importancia real del uso de la joya en la antigua Roma. La bibliografía tradicional, centrada en el análisis morfológico, artístico y material de la pieza, obviaba la importancia otorgada por la mujer romana a estos objetos. Ha sido necesario acudir a la representación visual de la joya para evidenciar la importancia que este tipo de objetos alcanzaron en la construcción de la representación visual femenina a fin de definir la relación establecida entre joya, mujer y elite.

  A lo largo del presente estudio, y a partir del análisis de las diferentes obras pictóricas conservadas, se pretende interpretar la importancia del uso del adorno personal en relación al concepto de identidad femenina. Los tradicionales estudios de joyería hasta ahora reali7.ados y consultados para la realización del presente ensayo evidencian las características técnicas y materiales de los objetos analizados. Las técnicas de fusión, repujado y soldado así como los diferentes modelos de decoración arrojan una información preciosa para el conocimiento de la cultura material romana. Sin embargo, y a fin de suplir las carencias interpretativas halladas en los trabajos consultados, este ensayo toma como objetivo analizar elementos de la cultura inmaterial romana. La certeza de la división estamental, ampliamente recogida por documentos conservados e ilustrada en espacios urbanos y arquitectónicos se refleja también en el adorno personal. Defendemos así como la joya condiciona y es condicionada por el estatus social del portador. A través de un objeto precioso, elemento de estudio a lo largo de los años por numerosos estudiosos, se pretende realizar una nueva aportación que reivindique la importancia y el valor del estudio de la joyería y arroje nuevos datos en lo referente a la construcción del concepto de identidad femenina romana.

Thus, it has been necessary to reason to visual jewel to highlight the importance of these objects reached in the construction of female visual representation to define the relationship established between jewel-woman-elite.

  Throughout the present study and the analysis of the different painting preserved, the importance of using personal adornment on the concept of female identity is interpreted. Traditional studies about Jewelry consulted for the completion of this article demonstrate the technical characteristics and materials of the analyzed objects. The merger techniques, embossing and welding as well as the different decorative models offer precious information for the knowledge of Roman maternal culture. However, in order to meet the interpretive deficiencies found in the works consulted, this essay attempts to analyses the intangible elements of Roman culture. The certainty of the social statements, widely reported and illustrated by documents preserved in urban and architectural spaces, is also reflected in personal adornment. The argument, thus, is focused on the jewel as a conditioner and conditioned of/by the social status of the wearer. Through a precious object, element of study over the years by numerous scholars, it is aimed to contribute with a new perspective that vindicates the Importance and value of the jewelry study, producing new data regarding to the construction of the concept of Roman female identity.
