Resumen de C.A.S.E CDFD: A Cooperative Data Flow Diagram Tool

A. Guevara-Plaza, Andrés Luis Aguayo Maldonado, Juan Falgueras Cano, Francisco Andrés Triguero Ruiz

  • In this work, the CASE CDFD tool (Cooperative Data Flow Diagrams) is introduced as an integral part of a set of end-user oriented Case tools. These tools are used to develop the proposed cooperative methodology for IS development where the design of the system requirements is carried out by the user as well as the development of the Information Sub-systems (sub-IS) of which the organization is composed.

Thus, the CDFD tool is end-user oriented and has a powerful graphic interface with which the user can define input and output data for his/her sub-IS as well as the relevant processes. Once the elements are defined, the tool automatically creates the DFDs for each sub-IS which, following an iterative bottom-up process, will merge them to create a full representation of the information System.
