  • Resumen
    • With a large number of developing multimedia being used in the present days, a lot of tools are used to aid e-Learning such as TV programs, radio programs & web casting to broadcast the contents of the classes studied, web boards for students to exchange ideas and opinions, web forums for gurus to answer questions by those who needed help, e-Library for students to search for information, etc. The Internet is also a large pool of information which offers knowledge to students in their own free time so that they can work while studying. Students can work at their own pace while having personal mentors to help them through the process. In Thailand, the most popular e-Learning place is at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU), which has been opened for 27 years, offering the program ranging from Bachelor degree up to doctorate degree as well as International programs in various fields both in Science and Arts. There used to be a distant-learning program in Thailand for those who are uncomfortable to attend classes. However, these students need to follow the same curricular programs and schedules and to attend classes during weekends at the school near their residence for those who did not have the opportunities to study when they were younger. This system worked well for a while until the full-time students took their places in order to take the short cut to have chances to try getting into famous universities several times. Therefore, this program was put off. E-Learning seems harder than it sounds because it needs self-controlled management on times and duties in order to graduate because it is fully independent. In this paper, EBAIS, the self-study E-Learning program from Taiwan offering curriculum in both Taiwan and Thailand, especially Chinese language courses to Thai people.
