Muchas veces nos preguntamos cuánto tiempo y cuántas oportunidades tenemos que dejar pasar para que los colombianos tengamos un sistema de salud acorde con la Constitución y a la sentencia T-760 de la Corte Constitucional. Las críticas al modelo de salud provienen de muchas organizaciones, pero todas coinciden en señalar que el sistema es ineficiente, inequitativo y tiene un gran potencial de generar corrupción. Parecería impensable que en una democracia representativa las mayorías gobiernistas del Congreso legislen en contra del pueblo que dicen representar, pero de hecho, lo hacen. Además, por lo general nos quedamos impávidos ante ello.

We often wonder how long and how many opportunities we have to see until Colombians have a health system in accordance with the Constitution and the T-760 judgment of the Constitutional Court. Criticisms of the health model come from many organizations, but all agree that the system is inefficient, inequitable and it has potential to generate corruption. It seems unthinkable that in a representative democracy inside the congress legislate against the people they claim to represent, but in fact, they do. In addition, we were usually undaunted by it.
