La guerra civil de Irak protagonizada por el Estado islámico vive sus últimas etapas. Tras la toma de Ramadi y Faluya, el inminente asalto a Mosul pondrá fin al conflicto, aunque no se puede descartar la supervivencia de una insurgencia islamista. Sin embargo, el reforzamiento de las milicias tribales kurdas y chiíes durante la guerra dificulta la plena estabilización de Irak e incluso su supervivencia como Estado.

The civil war in Iraq is living its final stages. After the taking of Ramadi and Fallujah, the imminent assault to Mosul will end the conflict, although we can not rule the survival of an Islamist insurgency. However, the strengthening of Kurdish and Shiite tribal militias during the war hinders the full stabilization of Iraq and even the survival as an unique State.
