    En los últimos años, la permanente crisis del Líbano ha estado marcada por dos tendencias. Una el permanente intento de Hezbollah por hacerse con el poder, manteniendo el bloqueo institucional y amenazando, de forma más o menos velada con acciones violentas si sus deseos no se cumplían, como el evitar ser acusado como institución en el asesinato del primer ministro Hariri en 2005. El otro acontecimiento, si bien externo no por ello menos perturbador ha sido la guerra civil en Siria. El flujo de refugiados, en su inmensa mayoría sunníes anti-Assad, que ha supuesto un doble problema, humanitario y político y la participación militar de Hezbollah en el conflicto con un número elevado de pérdidas, incluidos importantes comandantes militares, y la respuesta yihadista contra los enclaves de población chiíes, han supuesto una carga adicional que sin embargo no ha sido capaz de hacer saltar el país por los aires como muchos predecían.

    Over the last years Lebanon has suffered a permanent crisis with two main trends. One is the permanent attempt of Hezbollah to assume power, blocking the political institutions normal functioning and threaten with violent actions if it doesn�t reach its goals, mainly to avoid the indictment in the murderer of Prime Minister Hariri in 2005. The other relevant event is the Syria Civil War.

    The refugees flow, most anti � Assad Sunni, is a humanitarian as well as political problem. Hezbollah fight in Syria, with significant casualties including some relevant commanders and jihadist retaliations over Shia population have imposed an additional pressure over the country that resist till the present moment despite negative forecasts.
