    El autor se centra en la relación de la bioética y el bioderecho en su ya largo camino en común. El enriquecimiento ha sido mutuo pero también existen problemas de delimitación y tendencia a elaborar los problemas éticos como si fueran problemas legales. El artículo analiza como los Derechos Humanos han aportado una fuente referencial de primera magnitud al discurso bioético, como los comités consultivos de bioética han sido impulsores del Derecho internacional en el ámbito de la biomedicina y la aparición de un Derecho Constitucional del ciudadano bioético como respuesta a investigadores y científicos (biócratas) concretándolo en la emergencia de ciertos derechos relacionados con el genoma humano.

    The author focuses on the relationship between bioethics and biolaw over the course of their long, shared journey. Despite their mutual enrichment, problems have arisen with boundaries and the tendency to develop ethical issues as if they were legal ones. The article analyzes how human rights have served as a leading source and frame of reference for bioethical discourse, how bioethics advisory commissions have driven international law in the field of biomedicine, and the development of a Constitutional Law of the bioethical citizen as a response to researchers and scientists (biocrats), specifically in the development of certain rights related to the human genome.
