En este trabajo, se realiza un análisis del mar y el puerto como motivos recurrentes en los cuentos que integran el volumen La increíble y triste historia de la cándida Eréndira y de su abuela desalmada. El mar es aquí un locus terribilis que arroja sobre las aldeas, múltiples elementos que alteran la vida de las comunidades.

ABSTRACT This work analyzes the sea and port as repeated motives in the tales that are compiled in the volume of The Incredible and Sad Story of Eréndira the Candid and Her Heartless Grandmother. The sea is here a locus terribilis that throws over the villages multiple elements that affect the lifestyle of these communities.
