    Se expone la importancia de un acabado oclusal estable y funcional en un tratamiento de Ortodoncia. Cómo conseguir estos objetivos oclusales y funcionales por medio de posicionador en relación céntrica y del equilibrado o tallado selectivo. La utilización dela "Leaf Gauge" para tripodizar la mandíbula y obtener la relación céntrica. Si al terminar un tratamiento la mandíbula no está en RC, los músculos tenderán a una actividad patológica que dependerá de la capacidad de adaptación del paciente a la discrepácia CO-CR. La RC vendrá determinada por la correcta función de los músculos masticatorios; para obtener un verdadero eje de bisagra se hará sin manipulación y partiendo de una musculatura y articulación totalmente sanas.

    The importance of a stable and functional finishing of an orthodontic treatment is exposed. How to achieve these occlusal and functional objectives with the positioner in centric relation and selective grinding. The use of the leaf gauge to tripodize the mandible and obtaining a centric relation. lf a treatment is finished without the mandible in RC the muscles will trend to a pathological activity which depends from the difference between CR-CO and the personal adaptation of the patient. The RC will be determined by the correct function of the masticatory muscles; a true hinge axis must be obtained without manipulation and with the muscles and TMJ healthly.
