  Resumen: Se analiza la situación de los indígenas en Tijuana, quienes se distinguen por practicar la migración permanente, y que como parte de dicho proceso se han establecido en esta ciudad fronteriza, desde la que, entre la diversidad de pobladores, se observan como un grupo que comparte características, como son las prácticas culturales; un ejemplo de éstas es la celebración que realizan a sus santos patronales. Se efectúa un análisis del establecimiento de los indígenas en la ciudad a través de dos ejes: las relaciones institucionales y el uso de algunas de sus prácticas. Dichas relaciones quedan mediadas por las lideresas y los líderes de las organizaciones, sin embargo, se puede suponer que no todos los indígenas pertenecen a alguna asociación, ni que éstas son representativas de todos.

  Abstract: The goal is to analyze the situation of indigenous people in Tijuana, who are distinguished by the permanent practice of migration. They have been established in the border town and from there they are seen as groups that share some characteristics between diversity of people, such as cultural practices; an example of these as celebrating the patron saints. Celebrations are what will lead us to analyze how people built community ties and express they being indigenous, and at the same time they are a medium used to set up relations with government institutions. These relations are mediated by the leaders of associations, which characterize part of their organization, notwithstanding it may be assumed that not all indigenous persons being to an association, neither these organizations are representative of all.
